Mole & Vole Control FAQ

mole and vole control FAQ wildlife control service image for Hamptons homeowners

Straight answers to the questions Hamptons homeowners ask us most.

How do I know if I have moles or voles?

Moles push up raised ridges and volcano-shaped mounds of soil. Voles make narrow surface runways through the grass, small open holes, and chew roots, bulbs and the bark of young trees, often hidden under mulch or snow. Many Hamptons properties have both. Our inspection tells you exactly what you're dealing with.

How does your mole and vole treatment work?

We use state-of-the-art fogging equipment. After finding the active tunnels, we fill the burrow system with a non-toxic mist. No traps across your lawn and no digging up your beds.

Is it safe for kids, pets and plants?

Yes. The mist we use is non-toxic and will not hurt people, pets or plants, and it goes only into the active burrows.

How long does it take?

It depends on the property and how established the problem is. Most properties need more than one visit. After the inspection we lay out the plan and timing for your property.

What happens after the moles and voles are gone?

We collapse tunnels, repair damaged turf and set up prevention so the problem doesn't come back.

What if they come back?

If activity continues within the scope of your service plan, we come back, reassess and take care of it.

Do you handle deer too?

Yes. We protect gardens, shrubs and young trees with our own proprietary deer-repellent formula, applied on a regular schedule to stop browsing before it starts.

What towns do you serve?

The Hamptons from Remsenburg to Montauk, including Southampton, East Hampton, Bridgehampton, Sag Harbor, Westhampton Beach, Quogue, Water Mill, Amagansett and North Haven.

When is the best time to start?

As soon as you see damage. Moles are most active in spring and fall, and voles do damage year-round, including under snow in winter.
